NLL Rochester Knighthawks Activate Danowski

Rochester Knighthawks announcedon Tuesday that the team has signed forward Matt Danowski to a two-year deal. The Knighthawks activated Danowskiand placed Bobby McBride on IR

Danowski, acquired from Orlando, along with a conditionalthird-round pick in the 2010 NLL Entry Draft, in exchange for forwardMat MacLeod. Danowski graduated from Duke University as the NCAA's all-time points leaderwith 353 points (170 183) in his four seasons. Aformer first round pick of the Colorado Mammoth (seventh pick overall)in the 2008 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft. He tallied 14 points(7 7) in nine games his rookie season in 2009. The 24 year old is oneof the most decorated players in NCAA history, winning the NationalPlayer of the Year, the Tewaaraton Trophy and USILA's Lt. Raymond J.Enners Award as the nation's top collegiate player in 2008.
